Services:
As a client of Webmozaic, you get more than just hosting space. We provide you with tools to get the job done, whether you run your own website, work on behalf of clients, or have someone manage your site for you.

The most important thing to effective management is security. We provide you with secure access to your control panel and to webmail. Look for the padlock in your browser.

Secure Webmail
Wherever you are in the world, if you can get to a browser, you can collect your mail and manage it effectively. Simple to use and secure using a HTTPS link. You can choose from various colour schemes (obviously, bilious green doesn't suit everyone!). Unlike many other webmail services, ours offers an address book. You can create a signature, choose who to forward incoming mails to. You decide how long messages remain in your inbox before they autodelete, you can create folders.

Secure website control panel
An effective and comprehensive control panel is the key to productively configure and manage your website. We provide you with a very easy to use control panel which is accessed by a secure HTTPS link. Having used many control panels in the past we are confident that you will find this as easy to use as we do. We use the popular Webalyser stats package.

Clients community area
Another benefit for hosting clients. We provide an area where you can exchange views and share information. We also provide you with a set of third party resources that we have found to be useful currently and in the past. All clients are encouraged to share useful information for the benefit of each other and their clients. The clients area has password access.

Upgrades
We offer packages that suit the vast majority of needs and have found that the five main levels of account generally match the types of website there are, however, we fully recognise that the dynamics of your website may not exactly fit into the account types we retail. You may go over your bandwidth allocation a bit one month and not the next or for a short period, you may need extra disk space. Are we going to send you nasty letters demanding over allocation fees? No. We won't do this, we're flexible and reasonable and will work with you to make the web aspect of your organisation work. Of course this works both ways. If you need a specific solution tailored to your exact needs, for example a high bandwidth non-database solution we'll be happy to quote on this if you can give us an idea of the dynamics of your site. Even if you can't, don't worry, we will discuss the nature of your site, make a judgement and then monitor usage over time adjusting your package to suit .

If you wish to upgrade your account as your needs change you can do this too. Accounts are fully flexible. We have clients who have started with a Park+Mail account to strategically secure a domain name and upgraded to a full e-commerce (Hosting 3000) solution as their business developed. In terms of price, you will only pay the pro-rata cost for the upgrade between the date you upgrade and the contract anniversary, thereafter you will pay the new package price each year.

Termination
We hope that you will stay with us for many years and will work with you to that end. We are however realistic and appreciate that there may be external reasons which dictate that you move away. We will be as accommodating as we can to help you do this. You can cancel your account at any time - we don't hide unpleasant 90 day notice periods in the small print (See section 6.6). We will also work with your new host to transfer out your domain(s) effectively and efficiently. To ensure continuity of service, we will keep your existing account active for 7 days after the transfer has been effected. Please do be aware that there will be a transfer out fee which is currently £24.00. - Remember however you haven't had to pay for domain re-registration fees while you have been with us, nor did you pay for the transfer-in fee if your domain was transferred in..

Domain registration
If you just want to register and hold a domain name as a strategic asset, we can do this for you. We can register almost any type of domain. There is a nominal £7.50 handling charge on top of the domain cost which will vary from domain to domain. If you subsequently wish to upgrade this to a hosting account, you can do this at any time.

Tech support
As a client you will get access to the tech support hotline number for use if you have a breakdown.
For non-critical technical or business issues we request that you e-mail your request to us. This helps us to maintain our quality of service in that if it's written down, then we can be sure to understand your exact requirements. You want us to get it right first time - we do too. There is a tech support request form in the clients area. We will do our best to respond within 24 hours.

BBC's Betsie program
As part of your accessibility responsibilities, we make a copy of the BBC Betsie program available to you to act as an online text filter. If you want to see it in operation, click the 'Text only' link at the top of this page. It is supplied as is, and without warranty. Ideally you know something of perl in order to use it. There are usage restrictions applied by the BBC, you should visit their site (HERE) to be sure of them.
